BoMc has tripled the number of attorneys recognized by Best Lawyers as “Ones to Watch in America” for Intellectual Property Law. The 2026 list includes Maggie Evans, Elissa Knoff, Bethany Love, Jordan Maucotel, Jacqueline Nguyen, Jason Portis, Robert Selfaison, Matthew Seward, and William Uhr. Only about two percent of early-career attorneys in the United States receive this honor.
Recognition by Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review. Its process is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area. Best Lawyers employs a sophisticated, conscientious, rational and transparent survey process designed to elicit meaningful and substantive evaluations of the quality of legal services.
This year alone, Best Lawyers saw the highest voter participation in an individual edition, with almost 15,000 participants providing 1.3 million new evaluations. Its commitment to a purely peer-based review process is central to its philosophy, as it believes that the top lawyers are best suited to identify their peers at the highest level.
