Biography

Drawing on his background as a laboratory scientist and his experience as a patent attorney, Samuel G. Katz provides a comprehensive range of patent services spanning various scientific disciplines. This dual proficiency enables him to provide strategic guidance to clients seeking to protect and amplify the value of their intellectual property assets. Prior to joining BoMc, Sam worked at an IP boutique based in Philadelphia, which provided him with invaluable experience in managing diverse patent portfolios across a multitude of cutting-edge technologies, refining his skills, and honing his acumen in the realm of patent law.

Before practicing law, Sam worked in New York City as a research scientist and medical technologist where he gained unique insight and understanding of the law as it applies to science research and healthcare, particularly in areas like genetics, animal research ethics, and medical forensics. Sam studied at the University of Delaware and was very active in extra-curricular activities such as founding the Chocolate Club and being voted Homecoming King his senior year.
