Biography

Peyton Gilliatt’s practice includes providing technical assistance to BoMc’s clients in a wide array of technologies. More particularly, she has experience in fintech, autonomous vehicles, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) systems, microelectronics, semiconductor devices, IC design, control systems, and electrical power systems. Prior to joining BoMc, Peyton worked as an associate at an IP specialty firm. Additionally, she has provided technical assistance on matters relating to ex parte reexamination and inter partes review proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

During law school, Peyton spent two years volunteering in the Maurer Intellectual Property Clinic where she counseled individuals and small business owners on copyright, trademark, and patent matters. She also served as a Notes Editor for IP Theory Journal and was a member of the S. Jay Plager Intellectual Property Inn of Court.

Prior to starting her career as an IP attorney, Peyton worked as an electrical engineer for General Dynamics Electric Boat and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. In these positions, she assisted in the maintenance and modernization of electrical systems in U.S. Naval Submarines and performed root cause failure analysis of microelectronics in flight systems and counterfeit detection of electronic components in support of obsolesce risk management.
