Lee Silvernail advises clients on all aspects of patent prosecution and patent portfolio analysis. As a former engineer and patent examiner in a business methods art unit, Lee has experience over a wide range of mechanical, aerospace, Internet of Things, software, and business methods technologies.
Prior to joining BoMc, Lee was a patent examiner at the USPTO where he examined business methods related to rideshare, shipping, and ticketing technologies. Lee’s time at the USPTO gives him insight into the patent procurement process and assists him in advising clients on maximizing the value of obtained patents. While in law school, Lee worked in the legal department at one of the largest satellite operators in the world. Lee’s varied experience allows him to understand client goals and to work with companies to reach optimal outcomes for their patent portfolios.
