Biography

Joe Kallie counsels clients to achieve strategic advantages through an intellectual property lens. Joe helps clients develop and execute on comprehensive and global patent strategies, focusing on patent clearance, patentability, preparation, and prosecution in the U.S. and abroad. He also has experience performing due diligence and assisting with acquisitions and intellectual property disputes.

Joe has experience with a multitude of technologies, primarily focusing in mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, as well as medical device technologies. Some non-limiting examples of his experience are in technologies relating to surgical robotics, X-ray imaging, autonomous/ADAS vehicle testing equipment, automotive drivetrain components, and composite materials.

Before joining BoMc, Joe was an associate in the IP practice group of a general practice firm located in the Detroit metro area, working with clients ranging from small outfits to multi-national corporations, handling a wide variety of different technologies and strategies to fit clients’ needs.
